My Journey
I am Jacques Reiter, a photographer based in Luxembourg — though my path here was far from ordinary. Before dedicating my life to photography, I studied law and worked in the financial world. Yet, no matter where life led me, I always found my way back to what truly moved me: creating images that tell stories.
From a young age, I was drawn to the world of multimedia — videography, graphic design, sound, and photography. I explored each of them deeply, but photography was the one that always stayed with me. There is something profoundly human about shaping light to capture a fleeting moment, an emotion, a fragment of life that feels real and alive.
For me, photography is more than a profession — it is a way of preserving emotion. Every image is an attempt to relive a feeling, to hold onto something honest and timeless. My goal is to create photographs that feel natural yet powerful, images that tell a story rather than simply show a face. Because a portrait that doesn’t reveal something genuine — a spark of truth, a glimpse of emotion — is not one to be remembered.
Photography, for me, is the art of connection: between light and subject, between moment and memory, between the person behind the camera and the one in front of it. And that connection is what I strive to capture in every frame.
